My name is Julia, and I am a portrait photographer based in San Jose. I love photographing people and capturing their essence. It has been a rewarding experience for me working with couples, families, babies & children.
My style is modern, using fresh perspectives with an emphasis on light, texture, and simplicity. I’m drawn to an organic, natural style of photography, where props, clothing, or poses, should not destract from the beauty of those I photograph and the raw moments that I capture. I love to create strong, beautiful color photos but I am equally drawn to the classic look of black and white. I’m known for the clean, honest look of my images.

When I’m taking photos, I strive to create a relaxed and unstructured experience in every session, and guide my clients just as needed. Life is brimming with fleeting moments of perfection, and my goal is to capture them before the moment passes. My passion is to create timeless, unfiltered images that reflect your family’s unique story, whether outdoors, in the studio, or in the comfort of your own home.
My love and training in photography started over 30 years ago in Switzerland, where I was born and raised. My passion for travel and the outdoors brought me to Honolulu, Hawaii, where I lived for 14 years, and now to Campbell. In my free time, you’ll find me hiking with my two little dogs, biking, wine tasting and hunting for idyllic photo locations.
I absolutely love kids as well as my job, and hope that my passion shines through in my work. My goal as a professional photographer is simple: to create an image of beauty that truly represents you and your family, to be cherished for generations to come. My greatest reward and inspiration is the joy that my images have brought my clients, and knowing that my work has captured a moment in time – and touched their lives forever.
